Stamatis Georgiou was born in Greece
but has been living in Denmark since 1996. He has studied French and
sociolinguistics in Thessaloniki, translation in Brussels and
linguistics in Odense and Manchester. He has worked as a teacher in
Greece and Denmark, and as a trainee translator in Luxembourg. He is
equally interested in the language of politics and the politics of
language; working with his mother tongue for VISL can be relevant to
both.
