For the Swedish exercise, the focus is on common but tricky words, that are difficult not because they are rare or scientific, but rather because they are false friends or entirely unrelated to their Danish counterparts.
For the English exercise, somewhat rarer words were chosen, while trying to avoid domain-specific terminology.
Norwegian (Bokmål) is the language closest to Danish, but still, many false friends do exist, and some colloquial expressions or objects from the Norwegian cultural traditon may present surprising challenges.
The word lists used here were provided by the GramTrans machine translation and dictionary project.
