Electronic English books and
corpora.
- The
International Corpus of English: the ICE began in 1990 with
the primary aim of providing material for comparative studies of
varieties of English throughout the world. A related aim is to
provide resources for research into English as an international
language. Each participating country is collecting, computerizing,
and analyzing a corpus of one million words of their own national
or regional variety of English, spoken or written between 1990 and
1996.
- Survey
of English Usage: the SEU is an English Language research
unit, based at University College London.The main work at the
Survey for the last five years has been devoted to the British
component of the ICE (International Corpus of English) project
which is now nearing completion.

Mellon University: CMU has an English parser based on LINK
GRAMMAR - "an original theory of syntax related to dependency
grammar".
- Conexor's
analysers for English: test five different analysers developed
at the Research Unit for Multilingual Language Technology at the
University of Helsinki.

Linguistic Technologies: ELT has an on-line English parser
which they challenge the world to test.

page: this site offers a variety of parsers using grammars and
lexicons of your own choice.
- Link
Grammar: The Link Grammar Parser is a syntactic parser of
English, based on link grammar, an original theory of English
syntax. Given a sentence, the system assigns to it a syntactic
structure, which consists of set of labeled links connecting pairs
of words.

features an in-depth linguistic atlas of U.S. dialects, with a
